Emilie Allen, MFT intern, from Regis University
When life starts to feel overwhelming, I strive to create a space of comfort and healing, where my clients feel seen and heard. Sometimes in the busyness of our daily lives, it can be hard to slow down and reflect on what is bringing us down. Many of us find ourselves stuck in patterns that do not serve us, wanting something better but not knowing where to begin. Through a relational therapeutic approach centered on emotional experiences and beliefs, I help couples, individuals, and families get in touch with themselves and connect more with one another. I aspire to help clients uncover deep compassion for themselves and each other, and to step into the best, most aligned versions of themselves. I believe that gaining understanding, experiencing ourselves and each other differently, and adopting more supportive, strengths-based beliefs can create a chain reaction, improving our relationships and our lives more and more each day. Whether you are facing relationship challenges, navigating a life transition, or struggling with mental health, I am here to help you get unstuck and overcome whatever mountain you are facing.
Speaking of which, when I am not wearing my therapist hat, I am often in the mountains myself, whether hiking, camping, paddleboarding, or skiing! I am happiest in nature with the people I love, so I seek out those experiences as much as I can. I also enjoy yoga, cooking, silly reality TV shows, hanging with dogs (I hope to get my own pup soon!), visiting my family, and traveling whenever I get the chance. I would be honored to work with you and look forward to seeing you soon!
