Grief Intensives

When an hour isn't enough.

Personalized therapy intensives designed to help you process grief, trauma, memories, and life's hardest transitions—with time to slow down, breathe, and do meaningful work together.

Is a Grief Intensive Right for You?

You might benefit if...

  • You avoid certain rooms, belongings, or photographs.

  • One painful memory keeps replaying.

  • You feel "stuck" in your grief.

  • Weekly therapy doesn't feel like enough time.

  • You have an upcoming anniversary, birthday, or holiday.

  • You want dedicated time to focus on your healing.

  • You feel ready to take one meaningful step forward.

What Is a Grief Intensive?

A Grief Intensive is a personalized therapeutic experience designed around your unique goals. Rather than trying to fit meaningful work into a traditional therapy hour, we create dedicated time to process what matters most to you at a pace that honors both your nervous system and your relationship with the person you've lost.

Every Intensive Is Different

Together, we decide what your intensive will focus on.

Examples might include:

Processing a difficult memory

Using evidence-based approaches—including EMDR when appropriate—to reduce the emotional intensity of painful memories.

Memory & Meaning

Exploring photographs, keepsakes, letters, and stories while honoring your continuing relationship with your loved one.

Home Re-Entry

Returning to spaces that have become difficult to enter following a loss.

Belongings & Keepsakes

Creating space to thoughtfully approach meaningful possessions without pressure to make decisions before you're ready.

Preparing for Difficult Dates

Support around anniversaries, birthdays, holidays, retirement, moving, or other significant transitions.

Creating Rituals

Developing meaningful ways to honor your loved one while continuing to move forward.

What a Day Might Look Like

  • A personalized plan for after the session

You May Notice Changes Like...

  • Feeling less overwhelmed by memories of your loved one

  • Being able to think about meaningful moments with greater peace

  • Reduced emotional intensity around difficult memories

  • Greater confidence approaching meaningful places or belongings

  • Increased self-compassion throughout your grief journey

  • More space for both grief and moments of joy to coexist

  • A growing sense that your loved one's memory can remain part of your life without feeling so overwhelming

Why an intensive?

Grief often asks us to move at its own pace. An intensive provides enough time to honor memories, process emotions, and reconnect with what matters most.

Grief changes us. Healing doesn't mean leaving your loved one behind—it means finding a way to carry both your love and your life forward.

Begin with a Conversation

Every Therapy Intensive begins with a consultation where we'll explore your goals, answer your questions, and determine together whether an intensive is the right fit for your needs.

Whether you're navigating grief, trauma, burnout, relationship patterns, or a major life transition, we'll create a plan that feels thoughtful, personalized, and supportive of your healing.
